    K-43

    hello all
i have a K-43 qve45 with good dirty birds, real good stock, mismatched #, good shooter with real good looking gun. it has a one 10 round mag and has 6 MG13 30 round mag converted to fit the K43.......no import markings but there is an R on the stock on the right side.....what is this worth and is this a good maker thanks rodney

The qve is the same as duv which was Berlin Luebecker Machinenfabrik they produced the G43 beginning some time in early 1944. Beginning with the "k" or "l" letter block in 1945, BLM changed the three letter code from DUV to QVE. QVE continued production up until the final days of the war. I would say it was worth about $800.00 being mismatched.

      About magazines

      Hi,

If I´m not mistaken, the MG13 converted magazine to the K-43 is a rare item, made on experimental basis only. I would check it better at the www.gewehr43.com forum, if I were you. You may have a rare bird in your hands.

      Merry Christmas.

      Douglas.

If they were war time done they are worth more, but proving it is the thing. Most were post war and even still being done now. They are doing it still useing WW2 date mags.
