P38 Assembly Problem

Hi all,

Somehow the top plate securing the rear sight has come off my P38 and I have been trying to get it back in its place without luck!
What am I doing wrong???

Can anyone help me out or direct me towards a site with extensive assembly instructions??

You might want to see if all the little parts are still there.

This happens with some worn P 38s-I have one I keep a strip of duct tape on.

when these come off, several small spring loaded parts go into orbit.
