    what is the approx value of a ww2 1942 dated "US PROPERTY" marked No. 4 Enfield rifle made by Stevens? VG condition.

      Not Stevens, but Savage,maybe??.. Price quoted seems a bit high, but not by much. Hope mine is worth that.

        Thanks guys, thats about what I thought. I'm not sure of it was stevens or savage, I thought one owned the other...
        I just got one in trade, and I wanted to get a handle on it before I moved it out.

          They were made by Savage and were primarily used by guards in the Canary Islands.

              I just brought my Enfield home. It's a 1942 Longbranch with a 1943 bayonet. I have owned it since 1988 or 1989. It was at my folks house. I can post pics if you like. It is pretty minty and awful nice.
