    .30 Carbine Ammo Availability?

I've been looking for USGI surplus .30 carbine but can't seem to find any of it in quantity, save for a bandoleer or so. I would've thought this would be available by the ammo-can full, but it just isn't around (at least on the internet). Anyone have an idea of where to find some, say 1000 rounds or so?

Oh yeah, been there. Looking for the stuff that CMP used to sell by the boatload!

        Hey Gene,

I havn't seen any around for awhile now. Next Cow Palace show there is a guy who sets up there with good ammo for reasonable prices. His name is Rob Riddervold.

          huh?

I don't know what shows you go to, but there is plenty. I have 1080 rounds in a can in bandos in the basement. Try www.amunitionstore.com They were having a big sale.

              Guys,

Thanks a lot for the replies. I managed to scrounge up about 500 rounds of '45 dated stuff, and while I'm sure it's okay to shoot, is it collectible? It was given to be in a plastic container, not an original box. Whatcha thinks?

Just shoot it. I can't imagine it has very much collector value. Maybe save a few mags of it.
