I think your right. The SNs aren't even in the ballpark. But I did look at the WAA's on the stock and while mostly illegible I could clearly pick out the 2. So I'm confident its a WAA 214 stock which it should be. So if someone did switch it they at least did their homework.Jim

Jim, Your rifle has a lot of good things going for it.....The stock is a proper BLM (214WaA) made one, has proper buttplate (w/o ribbed door), and correct phosphate stock band......So my guess is the original stock was duffle cut/sporterized and somebody was fortunate enough to find a proper BLM stock to replace it with.....IF yours was a Walther, you could keep your eyes peeled for a '45 made stock as these were unserial #'d......They aren't cheap however....One just sold on evilBay for over $1000!.....It did have an original buttplate with it however (easily a $250+ item alone)......Bodes
