Hello everybody,
Here it is one of the classical (but forgotten) pistols from the WWI: the odd and uncommon austro-hungarian Roth-Steyr M-7.
According some sources that I´ve read, 90,000 of these pistols were made between 1907-1914 by the Waffenfabrik Steyr and the Budapest Arsenal and were used mainly by the Austrian Cavalry during World War I. The caliber is the long discontinued 8mm Steyr which were loaded in a fixed magazine (like the C-96).
When I was a teenager, it was one of the most impressive designers that I saw. I always wanted to have one (cause I love these early military self loading pistols) but I never thought that such dream would come true someday. Fortunately, it wasn´t the only case.
So, gentlemen, let me share with you my poor pictures of my Roth-Steyr M-7 (serial number 66xx).
