How about anyone in the US? I've got one of the early 1968 examples, also all metal. I didn't know that this could be done.

        Erich,
Here in the US you can't legally do it...US and UK gun laws are as different as night and day.

Erich, Bill is right, you guys in the US can not convert an MGC to blank firing, it would be illegal.
However, there's a guy making custom built blank firing MP40's in the US and his designs have just been approved by the BATFE. They should be available soon.
          Check it out.

            Erich,

The MP40's are not yet in production and judgeing buy how long it took me to get my PPSH41 I would not hold my breath. The whole system works backwards, the blank witch is a 9.3 MM (and you can only buy them from him) is fired backwards and the gas takes a turn at the back of the gun and is then ehausted out of the front of the barrel. It is very strange cocking the handle forwards. Also I used mine at one event before I became fed up with it jamming every time I fired it, so I sold it right away. To wait almost a full year for something that got me killed more then I had the oppertunity do the killing, just didn't sit right with me. Don't get me wrong Chunk is a nice guy but the product is not what I hoped for.

            Cheers; Norman

Aye... he's a great guy with a lot of ambition, but the wait time on his products are too long. The Ppsh was in development for years, and delivery time kept getting pushed back and pushed back. Still no word on when production of the MP-40's will start. I understand he's been deployed for a month, though, and that's slowing things down alot. Still, all the delays with his products have ruined it for me.
