    FN High Power

This is a pre-war FN HP #9223 with stock slot, 500m tangent sight and round cam slot in the barrel lug.
    So far so good!
But on the right side there are on the trigger guard and on the slide Police acceptance marks e/C.
I am not really sure if made post war?
    Any comments are appreciated

    Thanks
    Dieter

        Hi
They might be good, but I personally do not like them.
Could you post a closer view of them?
        Thanks

I’m inclined to agree with Ace. Compared to the rest of the pistol at the very least they appear to be too “fresh” (new) in appearance.

Compared to the military pistols(did the police actually recieve any of these?) the waffenampts are on the wrong side and there should only be one on an early pistol.

Gary, I don’t know if the German Police ever received any High Power’s myself as I’m not a specialist pistol collector. And I agree that German Police marks typically were only applied once. However I do have a slight difference of opinion as to the placement of the marks because the 9 mm pistols (P-38’s, P-08’s, 1912’s) tended to have them on the right side not the left. I still don’t like the look of the markings which don't seem to match the rest of the pistol. But that far away can’t really make any kind of determination of when they might have been applied.
PS: Dieter, what are the chances for a couple of additional really closeup images?
              Regards, FP
