    MP Magazine Identification Help

Any opinions as to issue weapon?
8.5" tall, .75"wide, 13/16" deep, appears to be for 9mm. Only markings are a serial number, 3295 and the 3 is a flat top. The locking lugs are offset.
    Maybe police issue?
    Thanks for the help
    William

It looks a lot like MP40 mag, but not tall enough

        NO, Italian magazines are different.

          Not an EMP magazine.

It could be an EMP mag, as they came in several sizes. Perhaps Spanish post war production. Is it 9mm Largo?

It could be. Here is loaded with 9mm, don't have any Largo to try.
The offset lugs are the key.

It looks just like one I have. It could have also been produced during the Spanish Civil War for some EMP that came via black market. That kind of mag was not unfrequent some years ago.

                  Spanish production IMO.
Either for a Spanish version of the Erma EMP or for a postwar Spanish "Coruña" in 9mm Largo.

Cartridge fitting may give you an orientation, but take into account that although 9mmLargo ammo clearly doesn't fit in a 9mmPb mag it doesn't work the other way around.. and you can't be sure unless you can experiment if the free travel of the bullet is excessive or not.. and that will require a live weapon
