8mm German Ammunition Belt & Box

Had this box and full contents for several years, likely been on the Island since the German's left behind in 1945. Doubt if it still shoots, good condition for the year - ammo head stamped 1937, however leader tab 9 1940 and box later 1941. Different bullet colour every seventh round. Just need the MG34 to go with it - haven't found one yet.

Really nice looking original belt. The different ones are tracer. They would be perfect for my MG34s ;o)

Yes, the bullet tip indicates tracer, but no way to tell the trace color without the cardboard box. The red primer pocket indicates armor piercing.

      That ammo will still fire.

      Nice belt and can!

Had one of these some 40 years ago. A friend had a MG42, we went at the back of his garden and "tested" the beast. A 50 rounds belt gone in a few seconds.
We could still do some crazy things back then...

That is a seriously nice combo! And as you say, probably been together since the war. Excellent!

Keep it or give it to me! In my Will I would order to be buried with this box and belted ammo.

Excellent condition and as Willi says, no problem firing that ammo.
