You might want to post your inquiry under the "Wehrmacht Equipment Form", as there seems to be a bit of a disconnect between the "gun guys" here vs. the "uniform and equipment guys" who frequent the Equipment Forum. By "disconnect" I don't mean to slight anyone; I just find that when it comes to cloth or leather items such as MP40 pouches, the real hard-core collectors are found at the Equipment Forum as, quite frankly, there are a lot more uniform and field gear guys studying, evaluating and chasing the MP40 pouches than there are owners of legally registered C&R MP40's engaging in such aspects of collecting. In fact, I'd say the vast majority of demand for original MP40 pouches is from the uniform and field gear guys, who devote a lot of effort to attempting to sort out original pouches from the innumerable number of repros that are on the market.
