MG42/M53 Wooden Stock Disassembly

Hi, I got a Yugo M53 wooden butt stock. I’m trying to remove the metal threaded pot (Kolbengewindetopf) but I can’t find any instruction. I tried to unscrew the push pin but it won’t turn. Shall I bend the retaining piece first then to remove the push pin? Can someone help me? Thank you very much!

Can anyone help? Spare parts are very scarce in the UK so I don’t want to damage anything if I can help. Thank you!

The push pin should turn !, try some penetrating oil (and of course a good fitting screwdriver !!)

Thanks Tom, I’ll give it another try over the weekend. I tried penetrating oil and several screwdrivers but without success. I’ve stripped all oil off the stock so I might also try with a bit of heat. Thanks for your feedback!
