There were two Portuguese contract 98ks the first was in 1937 and known in Portgual as the MODEL 937.. The second Model was the model of 1941.. The Mod. 937 differs from the standard German Military 98k, in several ways bottom mounted sling swivel, sling swivel on the lower band, detachable sling swivel on the left rear of the stock, front sight protection ears and a unique muzzel cover.. The Mod. 1941 is same as a standard 1941 German military 98k. Each contract had it own serial range and a intricate Portuguese Crest on top of the receiver...
