US bayonet help ID

Hi there hope all is well with everyone .. got this bayonet in a joblot dont know much about US items and can't seem to find anything similar to it thats 1942 dated

thank you very much been scratching my head for a couple of days, im not good with US items it came with a job lot of shell cases I was after so this was an extra item I wasnt pursing
