    1943 Colt 45 for review

    Here I have a 1943 Colt 45 for review. Everything is matching and original except the right grip and magazine. Does the non matching grip and repro magazine greatly effect the value? The seller is asking for $1500 US. Thanks for your help and wisdom!

      If I am reading the serial number correctly, No.943966, the slide should be serial numbered to the receiver under the firing pin stop plate. Also check the barrel markings, as it should have COLT .45 AUTO marked just above the lug on the left side, and probably a G with maybe a smaller F on the bottom of the chamber ahead of the lug.

      The right side stock and magazine are an easy fix.
