It is a Czechoslovak Light Machinegun model 26, "Lehky kulomet vzor 26".

Jan is correct. The Germans used several different Czech MGs during the war.

I'm certainly no expert on the Czech MGs, so I do have a question that perhaps Jan can answer.

Did the production of the Czech MGs, such as the model 26 shown above, continue thoughout the war?, or did the Germans halt production, and use only pre-war captured weapons?

Matt, The Germans also produced the ZB..It had German nomenclatur and WaA proof...BILL
