I have an excellent 1941 mauser, Port. contract. Rifle is 100% matching,w/solid walnut stock, beautifully cartouched w/ Port. crest, and waffenamt is WaA135. Small parts are eagle/135 or eagle/655,with following exceptions: buttplate is WaA497, magazine follower and bolt cocking piece are (FN) eagle/140. Bolt, however, is WaA 103, or108(last no. unclear). I believe rifle to be all original, blueing evenly applied over semi-rough military finished steel. Finish on stock all original, too.Has anyone heard of the waffenamt on the bolt? Also, barrel marked 40 Do(with umlaut)39.Bolt is of first class quality. Is this gun correct, or should all parts be eagle/135 or 655?

WaA103 is the number your seeing. This number was used at FN before WaA140. 98k barrels were supplied to the rifle manufactures from a number of sources as well as in-house manufacture. Similar situation with the buttplate. FN manufactured parts are quite common on Oberndorf rifles, so no worries there.
