Bmw R-75

A little help please. A friend and myself got this finished and running this late summer. It is a 1943 BMW R-75 w/sidecar. The question is- On the spare tire on the sidecar is a yoke that swivels and is at an angle. Was this used to steady a MG during battle or aerial shooting or what ? I'm just guessing ! I have not found a photo with it's use. Any help ? Thanks, Mitch

It´s quite dificult to see one of these so well preserved/restored. Give my congratulations to your firend!!

A good tip for your question is the type of the sight over the barrel(used mainly for antiaerial purposes). But I´m sure that someone here will have the correct and precise answer.

Garage?!?! One does not park such an object in a garage. surely it deserves a place in the house. Den, manly room, but not a garage.

i am searching for all special equpment for mg34 mounts on wehrmacht bikes
I can not open the foto from this R 75 with a holder on spare wheel
is this beacause the story is 8 years old ?
Is it possible to get the foto once again?
