Nice looking rifle ! I have not seen one in years. Not too many around.
Refresh my memory, that is in 30'06 right ? Didn't the Italians produce one in .308 in the 70's ? Or am I just all confused ???

The Italians made a rifle called the BM-59 which uses about 80% Garand parts but has a 20 round box magazine. There were two 'Tanker Garands' made and one of those is in the Springfield Armory Museum, I do not know where the second one is. There were a few made by Santa Fe Arms of Pasadena back in the late '60s. About 15 years ago there were a bunch made by Fed Ord(not so good), Springfield Armory ( the civilian company-very good), and a couple of other companies which I don't remember anymore. The originals were in .30-06, and the new manufactured ones are a mixture of both '06 and 7.62x51NATO.
