Tripod, but for what MG??

A friend thought this was for the MG-42, but obviously it's not.
However I'm not able to tell what kind of tripod it really is...

It' s the tripod og the German MG3

It's the postwar Mg3 shooting 308 ammo.

I thought it was for one of the post-war variants of the MG42...
Here in Norway we used modified MG34 lafettes for the MG-3, so nothing like this shown.
