WW1 Luger holster...

I just bought the following... it was just... well... nice.

It is 1916 made, still brown, notice small hole on the flap and small hole on the back.

Now, i dont collect these, just wanted one for decoration...

Are WW1 holsters usually cheaper or more expensive than WW2?

On the front, under the flap...

the hole on the back is not visable from th front, the white you see there is newspaper stuffing.

Condition being equal, Luger holsters from the Imperial period command a higher price than those from the second war. Were yours not damaged, it would bring at least $300 in the US.

Another interesting factor in Luger holster values is color. Given two holsters of the same date and condition, if one is brown and the other black, the brown holster will command a higher price. Also the lighter the shade of brown the higher the value.
