    HSc

Hi, recently I purchased my first HSC and I was hoping someone could tell me when it was manufacured. The only proof I see is the eagle over N at the end of the slide (right side)l. The sn is 804770. The grips are walnut and very lightly checkered. The blue is almost gray in appearance and the metal underneath was not highly finished. The holster is a high quality black pebblegrain flap holster with a space for an extra magazine (missing the extra mag : ) The back of the holster is marked WILH. KLAGES ERFURT.The gun was an inherited vet bring back .
In spite of the anemic cartridge I am smitten!! I had never given much thought to the HScs but after it examining the design I think it's a keeper. Any information would be appreciated.

Your HSc was produced in late 1942. There should be two identical proofs on the right side (eagle over N), one at the rear of the trigger guard and again at the front of the slide. These are factory firing proofs that are found on every Third Reich HSc. The absence of any proofs at the rear of the trigger guard on the left side of the pistol would indicate a Commercial pistol.
