    Hello Matt,

    i had once a Panzerfaust "Gross" with camo painting like the ones shown in your pic. Not to many around!

      Hi there,

      Not sure about it, but if you mean the light square frame around the red stenceling i personaly think it was once a white underground so that you can read the stenceling better. The rest of the faust would be painted tan like on the common ones. ???? Still not sure about that.

          Hi Matt,

          i didnt know if i get it right, but i think the bottom one once was painted tan at all, after that the boxes were painted in white colour and after that they painted the red stenceling into the white boxes to make it easier to read for everyone. While the rest of the faust was still tan camo colour.

          I have a pic of what i mean, but cannot post it because of some PC problems, maybe you can contact me via PM so you can have a look at it.

                HI Matt,

                i definatly think its an early feature when they had the time to do this. Later it was simply sprayed tan stenciled red and up against a T 34...

                    Sorry Matt,

                    but i have no real proof or documents for that. It only based on personal experience and what i have seen in the past. I have seen some original painted early dated fausts with white boxes and later dated ones without these boxes.
                    Maybe some makers did paint the boxes throughout the wars end. How knows ?
