    Yugo M53 Machine Gun

I am planning to purchase a deact Yugo M53 as it resembles an MG42. I am budgeting hence going for that model as it is literally the same weapon minus the AA sight but I can deal with that. Its for my WW2 collection, but some may say for an extra £150 I could get an MG34, but its the MG42 I like.

So just asking for some opnions, would it be worth purchasing this?

    Thank you

    Rob,
I would say that it is definitely worth spending the extra money on a 34, they are so well made compared to the 42/53 as it is made from machined parts as opposed to stamped parts. Also, you would have ww2 history within a 34 as opposed to none other than the design of the m53. Hope i've swung you! Chris

Hi Rob, I too would advise you to go with the MG34. You are getting a real historical WW2 weapon.

        Cheers, Ade.

Hi guys, I guess you are right, it is probably nicer to have something with a bit of history to it from a time of significance. The thing is, im not sure if this new law will be passed about the banning of the sale of deacts, so id rather get something than nothing as im putting some money to the side every month just now.

What are the chances of this law being passed? If it does im screwed, but if not then I would rather save up for the real deal.

What sort of price would be paid these days for a decent MG34? As I dont think I will be able to afford an MG42 by the end of October.

Ryton Arms have some in now for £580.

I think the law will come in

            Cheers, Ade.

              Thanks Adrian
Yeah its soooo annoying this new law, its not going to stop gun crime, it will probably make it worse!

Looks like it may be the MG34 then!

Whats Ryton Arms reputation like? Been on their site and I see alot of it comes from Russia.

Are they quick to ship once ordered from them?

              Cheers

                Ryton Arms

Tony Budge is a great guy to deal with I have dealt with him several times. I have always dealt direct from shows or I have called at his home. Just recalled I did have a Vickers sent from him direct, no probs.

                Cheers, Ade.

Ryton Arms are great, if your going to order one, do it fast as i think their 34 stock is running fairly low now unless they have shipped some more in. You should also be able to pick up a good 34 at the military odyssey at the end of august if you can make it, Ryton will be there also. Good Luck, Chris

Go for the 34, I love mine, I got it in a **** state and have spent many hours getting it sorted, much to the annoyance of my Wife (and enjoyment of my Son)

                              cheers, Rik

                              ps Ryton
