From the deac dealers i spoke to, thay all seemed to disregard the coming legislation, prices were about the same, and one guy told me the last two months have been his busiest ever............

      John, do you need a P.38 ?
I have one that is looking for a new home.....

      Steve.

This new law will be so frustrating . I myself collect militaria of all sorts, helmets medals etc.

I own 1 deact (AK74) and 1 replica (Marushin MP40). I was planning to purchase a Yugo M53 but not sure what to do. If it is legal to still own them I will purchase before 31st October because then that will be my last deact ever!

I guess alot of guys will go out of business too

I was there all week and the prices were all the same as mentioned, apart from the odd bargian to be found. I picked up a nice tidy 43' Bnz k98 for £175.00. All the other ones close to it were £225-75 +. Also picked up a Blank firing, west German manufactured P08 Luger for £180.00. complete with box and cleaning brush.(mint).
Figured this could be my last oportunity to get them for german renacting.

Ah ha! I saw that Luger for sale. It caught my eye because I used to have the exact same model a few years back, very nice it was too. I've still got a load of spare mags for it if you're interested?
              Cheers

                Hi all,

as discussed @ beltring amongst some members here, this may affect all de-acts to include tank armanments (sp) not to sure about museums etc but who want`s to see a sherman being exhibited / driven in a display with no gun !!
Of course all re-enactments could be banned you may not even be able to point two fingers and say BANG !!!

All who can, should write to the relvant offices M.P. `s as the sands of time are running out.

                Ashley

                    Tracker Website.

                    Dear all,

A few of you have mentioned that alot of dealers at Beltring seemed to refuse to acknowledge the ban.

All those dealers who are refusing to acknowledge that this becomes law on October 31st can follow its progress here.

All of the dealers I spoke to, acknowledged that it was happening, but simply didn't know what to do about it. Some stated the air gun association where also resisting the bill and that it may make a difference. There seemed to be a general un-easyness about each conversation I had with each dealer, almost as if they knew deep down it will happen and they can't stop it. Certainly deact sales were stated as being a fraction of previous years, which I think only adds to the uncertainty.

A friend made an interesting comment, he believed the government were making it illegal to buy/sell them, so they effectively lose their market value, a subsequent ban of ownership at a later date would mean there is no market value to compensate. Interesting thought, what do you think?

Steve i may be interested in the p38 what date is it?? im after a 44-45 dated one
i may be interested in a 44-45 mp40 if the price is right and a mp44 new speck if nice enough
                        Also a 44-45 k98
                        and 44-45 mg34
and any other wepon made in germany in 1944-45 that i have forgot before the ban goes through
I personally dont think it can work its too stupid paint a bananan black and you have a gun looking thing why cant they just ban wepons made in the last 50 years? as a collectable????

Now that sounds like a very clever idea on their part.....your friend made a good point.

                              Gun Laws

I really feel sorry for you guy, I would put someone in office that represents my views. Thing are getting better for us, they have repealed the assault weapons ban and most state going to right to carry. Good luck stopping this new infringement upon your rights.
