Hi Chad, what great gifts. I am sure you will enjoy them very much.

Hi "MM", they look like wartime rounds to me too.

    Cheers, Ade.

I believe they are period rounds probably in the gun when it was taken..the markings on the rounds are STr 18 43 ak / ST+ 2 44 dnh there is a total of 4 rounds...I need a right side ( NOT the lanyard side) grip..does anyone know where I can purchase an original single or set? thanks.does anyone have any info on the other slide that was in the box? the serial numbers are in the beginning of this thread..thanks.Chad

Yep, ww2 rounds, great to have those same rounds it was taken with! P 38 grips are relativeley easy to come by i think, i know of a Brit dealer who has a set for sale at the moment, www.dandbmilitaria.com. The slide is a walther made 1945 one, if you didnt already know. cheers

Not sure of their value to be honest but if you want to keep it as a shooter? is it live? then i would just hang on to them as spares, dont think they have great value to be honest, but your decision! Just wondering, are any of the magazines number matched to the gun? I'm sure that the grips your after are around in the states

I was asking for a ball park price on everything..gun and spares..I dont collect German weapons , I collect belt buckles..but I love guns, so I am scared...My best thinking tells me to get rid of this gun quickly before I fall in love with it and end up with 3 then 10 , you know how it is....I just need to stick to my belt buckles..Chad

I believe that you could probably get arond the $600-700 for the gun and the spares if you replaced the missing grip, i know what you mean, i've kept many things that i originally meant to get rid of! Not 100% on prices but i think they are around that mark. Chris
