Hello,
I'm looking for any information about the Schwere Granatwerfer 34 (80mm - mortar). The reason why i'm looking for is that several members of my family served in the Waffen-SS and one of them was in a 'Granatwerfer-zug'. I've got 2 pictures of him with his comrades. I allready have a (little) information about the 80mm mortar, but I thougt that it is maybe possible that the 'mortar-lovers' could help me with pictures of their collection (may'be one of you have an S.Gr.W. 34 ?) and with interesting pictures from books (titles from books where they talk about this item are also welcome) or other information about this weapon (maybe about the crew,...). I really hope this become an interesting thread ...
By the way... I am looking for such a mortar for a long time, still didn't find one, the same with the projectile. Hope I find one someday... Does anyone of you got an idea what they may ask for an S.Gr.W. 34: the weapon, ammo cases (I thought about 50,- Euro (?)for a case), projectiles,...
Flemmish Greetings, Kenny.
