    Check out Matts' Broom Closet!

Thought you guys would get a kick out of seeing these!

    Any broom fans out there?

Well, here is the recent stockpile of Mauser broom handles that just came in from the weapons arsenal in Nepal.
There are 340 of them, (only about half are shown in this photo!), and they are standard sizes and Bolos. Commercials, military proofs, and even seme Wiemar proofed ones!

If anyone needs a broom, just let me know!

What a haul Matt. What's the going price for a Third Reich era one?

Have they been refinished? Any import marks? Any 9mm's? Post pics if you can, I'd love to see what a typical one looks like. And of course, price!

Alright here is the scoop. A friend of mine got all these brooms from Nepal. Just got them in, and is now starting to sell them all off!

First off, Richard, there is no such thing as a Nazi era broom. The only broomhandles that were ever Nazi proofed are the ones that have the arsenal "HZa" Zuegampt on them, and no none of these in this lot have that "HzA" proof marking.

These are all in 7.63 Mauser, no 9mm here.

These just all came in from Nepal, so yes they are import marked.

Bores are all very good on these. Some are light frosted, but very strong rifling, and no pitting on any that I observed.

A few have been dipped, but I would say 95% of them are still in original finish! Condition does vary a great deal on them though, and thus, so does the prices. Prices range from $389-$1300+". If anyone is interested in purchasing one of these "treasures from Nepal", PM me, and I'll put you in contact with my friend.

Over half of these are all matching broomhandles! while some are mostly matching (usually just bolt is MM), and the rest are complete mis-matches.

In the photo, in my right hand I'm holding a 1930 commercial, "crown/U" proofed which I'll show more photos below.
In my left hand, I'm holding a lovely looking Bolo.

                          Hi Matt,

As a Broom Lover, I must say AWESOME!!!! It is a shame that I´m not able to get a couple of these !! By the way: you made a nice choice!

Now try to get a holster stock for your C96. Those made for the 1930 series usually have a beautifully stamped Nauser banner in the wood.

                          Wishes,

                          Douglas.

                            Thanks guys!

Douglas, You are correct, I'm looking for a stock/holster for my 1930 commercial, and also looking for a Bolo stock/hoslter as well.

That's the only bad thing about this shipment of brooms..... None of them came with stock/holsters!! Boy that would have been really nice if they did though!
