Rifle stamping

I just got a call from my step son. a buddy of his was wanting to sale a rifle. He thinks it's a 1955 Russian. One of the stampings on it looks like a Wreath around a ceasar's head. Anyone seen a marking like that? I have'nt seen the rifle yet.

My step son just bought the rifle by. It's pretty beat-up. His friend bought it at an estate auction.

Joe, the rifle pictured is a Romanian produced m44 mosin nagant. They were produced from 1953 to 1955.
