Hi guys. I need badly some written reference regarding the German Zeiss Zielvier scopes. I have spoken to a person in the Zeiss museum, and he told me there that the production numbers of the zeiss scopes were lost, and it is virtually not possible to estimate the year of production of old scopes. Unfortunately I have bad com. with him and getting out of him anything is problematic. Now, does anyone have any written reference regarding the production periods of the Zielver model with steel tube? Heard that these were produced well into 50's or even 60's Now I need this written black on white...

I have also heard Zeiss lost their data. And as long as I know no published document exist. Well known sniper books have little on scope data. Only what knowledgeable collector has in his head or personal data. Perhaps you can take a look at this from the other forum and ask greggdw there.
