What a wonderful And early Lafette 34 and a four hole mg34 barrel jacket!
You have a weary attractive sett indeed! To find a early lafette and a mg34 like this, can be difficult to day. Congratulations

      Hi John,

Thanks for the comments, I was surprised when I saw it and more so that the correct parts were still attached! The picture was taken during restoration so its now done with pads etc. Mg 34 is a 37 dated BSW Russian capture that came into UK.
Matching less the top cover and stock. (no surprise their)

I actually started with the Bren Gun but got into the MG34 as a comparison thing. Problem is they are addictive. All part of the fun of collecting.

      Regards

      Tim

I recall that nice paintwork. It needs a bit of oiling for it to look perfect

Don't say addictive...I've got 4 x 34 + all the its and bits I can find. My Lafette came from Norway, via Reidar, dated 1941. It has original paint under...but it's a pain in the axx to remove the green from the blue to show. Just a pic, or two.

Carles........YOU KNOW ITS ADDICTIVE! Actually I had forgotten that pic of yours..........another individual that has managed to find an extension piece in alloy AND still retaining the finish of the anodized green! What are the markings on that Carles?

Know what you mean about the paint finish Carles, I have not quite plucked up the courage to "Scruff up" a bit. I picked up a 34 Dated patronen kiste in Yugo green that I will practice on first!

John, I recall you had one in your photo with the anodized finish still on it. Out of interest what's the markings on that one?

          Regards to both

            Well, Tim,

Here are a couple of pics of the extension bar. Only a little WaA. Not showing my Dreibein nor the Fliegerbeschussgerät because that would be hijacking this thread and they are posted elsewhere:

            Really nice Lafette John.

The same triangular marking as on the extension bar, Are also stamped on the rear of the lafette 34. And I think “dar”, as stamped on the fork, is a later code for the same maker.
