Thank you. I have looked at it every which way and still can't figure it out. Here is the PP that came with it.

To me, the first half of it looks like "STAATS", so, state's, but the second half looks more like Greek to me. Nice rig.

The Walther PP pictured is a rare Luftwaffe contract with WaA359 and should have two numbered magazines.

That is interesting. One mag is serial numbered and one is not.
Can you provide any more info on the PP?
I looked on the web and see the luftwaffe PP's were high polish. Mine is out of the serial range for a Luftwaffe PP and also is not high polish. Mine has the wartime finish and the frame has that reddish/plum color. I am estimating it to be a 1944 production(?)
