    Luger question

Were there any years where grips were not numbered? I found a 41 BYF that is all matching minus the magazine and the grips (which only have acceptance stamps that match others on the gun).

Lugers were only made until 1942, and grips were sporadically left unnumbered....Earlier ones less so, since the party wanted a maximum number of people working....Even if all they did ws number grips...Bodes

Bodes is correct. It is, however, the case that some years are much more likely to have factory un-numbered and sometimes non acceptance stamped than others.

Most 1908 DWM 1st issue had no number grips as did 1936 era Mauser and many byf,
