Other than the rear sight, are all the marked parts made by Longbranch?......Any importation stamps/markings?....What's the material of the buttplate?...Magazine is a replacement.....These (Longbranch) enfields were not marked when refurbished, but believe the type of wood is an indication....Would be a nice rifle if still in original wartime condition.....Cannot comment on price, but you may want to check sites like gunbroker to see what they're selling for....Bodes

You used to be able buy mint 1950's Enfields still in the factory cosmoline for around $400....And if I remember correctly the SMLE's with the asterick (*) on the receivers are less desirable than the earlier made ones.....
Sling is broad arrow 'C' marked which is correct for a Canadian made sling....Receiver also appears to be marked the same.....'ENGLAND' is lightly stamped and appears to be where it was exported from.....Would say asking price is high for an imported Enfield in well used condition and cleaned stock.....BodesLast edited by bodes; 02-13-2020, 10:57 PM.
