Help with G.33/40 with Two Different Serials on Stock

Also....why would they be adding a stock that has damage do it? Or If they went to the trouble to replace a damaged stock they wouldn’t have left a bullet struck band/lug.

I see what you mean. When I first posted I didn't clue into that.

Both the barrel band and metal end of the stock are damaged from presumably shrapnel. However, given the damage, would that barrel band even be able to slide off as it is supposed to? If not, one could assume that damage happened with the stock on the rifle.
