I thought all the late war Kriegmodell stocks were laminated from BNZ? How rare is a late war Krieg stock that is solid wood like that? Thanks

Very, very nice. I have a "s" block "bnz 44" which I believe was actually assembled in 1945. It has the same "casting-looking" bolt that you have and the kriegsmodell configuration.
I like the hardwood stock. My stock is the laminated type with alternating thick-thin wood laminations. Mine is minty also. I've owned a dozen 98k's over the years, but never one with a solid (not laminated) stock. I still have the first 98k I ever bought. An all matching 1938 "42" code with an original laminated stock. I didn't learn until years later that an original laminated stock on a gun that early is actually fairly rare.
