SS-Polizei Degen ???

Hello,

What do you think about this Polizei degen?

Pictures are provided by the owner but quality is really bad.
I'll try to get high def pictures if needed.

He just wants know if this ever existed?

SS runes on top and Polizei eagle at the handle.

This is an NCO police Degen not Officers if you didn't know already..
It looks fine to me but i can't comment on the runes on the pommel nut as i've never owned an example that's had them before,sure someone else will chip in..

NCO with SS membership

Police NCO with SS membership. A legitimate variation. WKC offered this option in their catalog, so some people claim a WKC version is the only legitimate piece. I don’t agree with that opinion as I know of a Robert Klass Police NCO with a similar pommel cap that is straight out of the woodwork, no questions! I’ve been trying to buy that piece for a few years now, someday I’ll get it.
IMHO your piece is good.

The size of the runes seem a bit bigger than what is normally seen but it is probably just a maker variation. Although rare I think I may have had one or at least looked at one in the past by Eickhorn.

A regular NCO sword would be 700 - 900

The SS pommel extra would make it 1200 - 1500 max i would say
