Can anyone tell me what exactly this short sword is and what period it dates from? I’m fairly certain the maker is Alexander Coppel. Any help is appreciated!

Should be right Seitengewehr of Baden Polizei.

A beautiful example of a Baden Polizei Seitengewehr. I believe this maker mark was used in the late Weimar period into the early 3R.
