    Knot Identification Help

    Hello Gents,
I recently acquired this Eickhorn senior leader deluxe dagger with this knot attached. The knot is gold with black accents and the bottom of ball is black velvet. I have never seen this one before and the shape of the knot is somewhat different from the usual shape of German knots of the period. Could it be Austrian? It looks like it has been there for quit some time and some of the black accents on the quillion top of knot are worn off on the side that would have made contact with the uniform while the dagger was in wear. Any help appreciated.
    Thanks for looking...Jeff

Interesting knot, similar to a period Sr. forestry official. However, due to the shape of the bulb, IMO possibly post war ?

      Or perhaps pre-war?

Most real this is a imperial austrian NCO knot for bayonet, so no proper here.
