NSFK / Dlv ....it's a shame about the condition.

Nice early Eickhorn with unit mark on the crossguard and waffenamt on the throat. A shame about the damage but it still has value.

Its typical on LW or RLM daggers to see any E/WaA stamps? same as there is strange swastika stamp? any other pieces confirmed with this marking? thanks. b.r.Andy

              Andy,

Waffenamt marks are found only on early production DLV daggers and this one is early so I see no issue with it being there.

Question why would have DLV a Army Heereswaffenamt proof? similar to RLB as part of RLM why would have it a Army proof?, only possible are the LW LZA marked blades of Flieger Dolch 1. and 2 modells.
Second what is the swastika stamp? marking of DLV?
E/92 or 96 was not used on Eickhorn production. Could You date the dagger?

Because early Deutscher Luftsportverband was incorporated in Luftwaffe - Wehrmacht as training facility.

From literature DLV was under RLM which was independent of Wehrmacht, so little strange for me found here a HeeresWaA , maybe people have other comparation stamps, strange too that is only on mouthpiece, not on main part blade. b.r.Andy
