    Anyone see any red flags?

Looks fine to me albeit the condition issues. I picked up one at the SOS Show just like it (in a little better shape) dated 1942. I showed it to Joe Pankowski at the Mo. Valley Show in Kansas City a couple of weeks ago, and he said that he had never seen a transitional Klittermann dated that late.

It is an original dagger in fair condition. Also, there is nothing wrong with the year.
Klittermann and Moog transitional SA daggers go up till 1942. The same goes for Klittermann and Moog transitional HJ knives. It is a well know fact.

The blade on this piece is in beautiful condition -- the accenting is so strong and sharp! Too bad the piece was stored in poor conditions that effected the exposed metalwork on both the grip and the scabbard.

Looks correct to me, but condition is a minus.
