Fake blade is probably not the proper term as most of the parts are listed in Horster's post war export catalog I am told. So I assume it could be a post war export model with an added TR pommel and scabbard as a method to deceive.

But the blade on the KM Ehrendolch that I posted which has the same submarine image has the added embellishment of a Dönitz dedication, so that one’s a fake meant to deceive unless one wants to invoke the “museum quality reproduction” argument.

I agree with you norm, but the blade on my dagger is different from the fake blade and no swastika on mine, so could be a post war export blade.

Hi Ron,

I guess the question is, were these two blades with the same sub motif produced by the same maker (whether Reismann or an unknown faker) or were they produced by two different workshops?

Found another one of these fake KM Honour daggers with the same submarine motif on the blade. This one was posted on war relics forum in 2012 but has a Raeder dedication instead of Dönitz and an Eickhorn maker mark.
