    WWI Bayonet for review

Can I get your thoughts and input on this bayonet? It is pretty much like the standard butcher blade bayo, except the area that fits around the gun barrel is more pronounced. Is this the correct scabbard for it? Not the typical metal one I am used to seeing.

Yes, it is correct. Sometimes, if you look very carefully, you will be able to find a tiny proof mark and date on the leather of the scabbard.

S98/05aA conversion type already with flashguard but older type of crossguard and leather scabbard, probably no Solingen area. Frog should be WW1 stamped, knot looks ok to me.b.r.Andy

Nice original S98/05 aA! Correct scabbard. I have the same, but with sawback. What is the maker of this bayonet, please?
