    Alcosa RAD EM Hewer

Hi Guys, I have this RAD EM Hewer by Alcosa, and I know a few things are off. It has the wrong screws/nuts, and the owner at some point made a crude leather buffer that seems very old with green "patina" under it. The blade is very nice, but
I'd like to hear any other opinions about this piece.

    Thanks in advance, Steve

It didn't occur to me that it was fake, I've owned a lot of these Hewers, but haven't come across an Alcosa fake. It has the feel of original, and weighs the correct weight. Can others confirm that it's a fake for me.
I appreciate your comments Patrick. Others please give their thoughts of this one please.
        Thanks for helping

I've not seen one maker marked on the same side as the motto. Is this common? I also see an Alcosa listed on Johnson Reference that is maker marked "Alcosa" on the reverse, with no distributors mark.
Are all authentic Alcosa hewers marked as yours is Ron?

I am only speaking to the "ALCOSO" TM that started this thread. All with this TM that I have seen were distributor marked. Not a common mark.

The Rad Hewer that started this thread is 100% fake, no doubt.

                  thanks

Thanks so much to you all (Ron, Gary, & Patrick). I got caught with my guard down on this one, and I appreciate the help and information you have shared.
Once again, this forum is such a great place to get help and learn a little something.

                      Update

Hi Guys, I wanted to give an update, but first I want to thank everyone who helped out by posting the fact that this hewer was a fake, and especially a big thank you to Ron W. and Bob I. for providing me with letters that stated what this hewer was, a big fake. The seller refused to give me a refund, but because I had the proof with the letters, and the statements here on WAF, he was forced to give me a full refund and pay for the return postage too.
Lesson learned, but once again, the WAF proves to be worth gold.
