SS dagger

Hi everyone, picked up a SS dagger at an auction that was extremely cheap, i think it's a parts dagger because of the painted Scabbard with the early maker mark blade,the blade looks like someone took steel wool and cleaned it. Any opinions on it will be grateful thank you.

I believe the scabbard is ok but has just been repainted. The blade looks like it has been sharpened at some time and then ground down and buffed. The daggers is not a parts dagger but due to the poor condition of the blade it may only be worth it for "parts".

Not necessarily a parts dagger just because the scabbard has been repainted. The original anodized scabbard could have been period repainted due to excessive wear of the thin anodized finish. Some were also repainted post war. Looks like an original dagger to me, however condition wise not that good due to blade and grip damage.
