I don't think Mac is concerned with the condition, I think his concern is perhaps plastic wood or something similar was used to fill in chips which is common. Then blended in to match the color, not a killer for me but as long as the price justifies the "possible or probable" repair I could live with it. Chips are common on SS grips and the rest of the dagger is wonderful!!!

        i dont know that answer
in my opinion grip is not 100%shape
there is couple nicks on the grip and like you see dagger spent his life in less then perfect conditions
i dont think the grip is fake it may be in less then mint condition

Dagger is original and has a nice aura.Like Mac statet, the upper area looks repaired and filled with wood spatula,or anyone other filler. This is a big reduction for the price!
That's the reason for close-up's to see the details.
        Otherwise a nice dagger.

Regardless the filled in handle, the dagger still is a very nice example. I love the blade and the patina on fittings.

Nice type B1 chain. The blade is excellent. Sorry for the grip less than perfect. Overall, displayed well . Thx,

That's a very nice looking M36. As has been said, it probably hang in a vet's living room for decades & has that look.
