    Government Official's Dagger opinions

    Gentlemen,

I need your opinions regarding this item.
The dagger looks correct, but I don't have much experience in Government daggers. The cross guards swastika not sharp, as on another daggers types and eagle head also strange.

But I like the black patina on all parts.

And screw color different from other parts - is this normal?

    Many thanks.

I'm wondering if the pommel screw is aluminum. This is something I've seen previously on Alcoso GO daggers but typically on a later vintage.

The double side screwscabbard seems consistent with the earlier Alcoso logo which might be inconsistent with an aluminum pommel screw but I guess it's possible but would potentially be an issue to some buyers but see what some of the other members think.

I cant speak of the dagger but the scabbard looks good, these scabbards were the same as Alcoso navy scabbards except these ones are silver plated. The bands are correct and so are the triple serrated sleeved eyelets and flat head screws.

I don't like the crossguard, IMO head has different shape than in alcoso daggers i have seen, also the swastika is different and the holes next to the head are smaller.

I like the patina and the traces of time on my dagger.

Nothing wrong with this cross guard, typical Alcoso
