Ever seen this forestry bayo before

I have searched high and low and cannot find another example. Looks like an unmarked blade. Is it the real deal or hocus pocus? Rob

It's a fantasy piece cobbled together, Polizei hilt, KS98 grip plates, hirschfänger scabbard. Not something legit.

to start with: the emblem is not forestry, but Deutsche Jägerschaft.
Further the condition is lousy and I would not purchase it for various reasons.

The bayonet itself looks in some ways as the version for customs, as shown
in an Eickhorn catalogue with number 1771, which is phrased as: Extra-Seitengewehr.

              Junk

This "treasure" is listed on Ebay as a rare knife, and is currently has bids over $200. What a shame that someone will be stuck with it, and pay quite a bit to own it.

A horrible 4th Reich fantasy fake, in addition to the factors already commented on the fakers even had to improvise to attach the grips. Looking like probably homemade rivets with steel washers to backstop them on the opposite side, the other uncertain due to the imaging. FP

Yes a nasty piece, the badge is also of post war manufacture.
