Help on a family owned M33

I have not been able to re-new my membership, the link is dead.
I have been out of the hobby for many years, however I would like the experts to give an additional opinion on this M33.
It has been taken apart and the scabbard screws and tang not are buggered., The blade to lower cross member is a poor fit, however I am not sure if this is a result of improper re-assembly. Everything else seems to fit and measure out nice.

The hanger seems very doubtful to me. The buckle strap is very short and looks to have been reshaped, and the lower ring appears new, IDK. I no nothing of hangers.

I gave a family member $500 for it.

I posted a link to images below, best I could do since I cannot renew my membership!

Can you gentlemen help me out? THX in advance.

It is not a good dagger imo.
Better pics are needed. Especially of the grip insignia.

Grip looks like a complete replacement. Scabbard has been taken apart for a repaint. The blade and cross guard fittings look legit but in poor condition. Don’t know anything about hangers either so can’t help I’m afraid.
