What is the general consensus on the Plumacher firm? One says real,another says fake.Any opinions would be appreciated. Regards,Darrick

Looks fine to me.
Tom Wittmann's Luftwaffe book has an example by Plumacher with the same trademark pictured on page 219 and even goes so far as to note that, "The scabbard is a WKC variety, with the throat being reatined by a single reverse-placed, headless screw." That appears to be the case with the example pictured in this thread.

I like the piece as well. Plümachers of any type aren't seen too often. I picked up a Heer by Plümacher about 5 years ago and was worried initially because I had heard stories of fakery with the logo, etc. It is true that some Plümacher pieces are fakes but I believe the fakes were primarily etched and other high end type pieces. Tom Wittmann told me plain bladed Plümachers are usually OK. Hope you pick this one up.
